Adam Scott is back at it again, gunning for two straight victories as he was able to take the 36 hole lead at the WGC Cadillac Championship on Friday.

The Aussie followed up a first round 68 with a second round 66 to surge into the lead. Scott holds a two shot lead heading into the weekend. His closest challengers, are Rory Mcilroy and Dustin Johnson, who shot rounds of 65 and 64 on Friday.

With his three closest pursuers all ranked in the top 15 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Scott may need an extra gear on the weekend if he wants to earn his second straight PGA Tour victory.

“I’d like to find a little extra gear this weekend,” said Scott, currently No. 9 in the world. “I think I’ll probably need it to win with the quality of leaderboard we’ve got. That will be the test for me.”

DJ knows that catching Scott will be difficult, but after grinding out a 72 on Thursday, he came right back with a 64 to get himself back in contention.

“To go out today and turn it around just feels good,” Johnson said. “I’m right back in the golf tournament.”

With plenty of big names in contention, it should be a weekend to remember in South Beach this weekend.
